Discipleship

We believe that every Christian should be on a journey of becoming a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. We have three types of small groups that help us in our discipleship journey.

Devotion Groups at 9:15 am on Sundays

There are Devotion Groups for children, youth, and adults. They all meet at the church. They are “devoted” to studying the Bible, prayer, fellowship, and caring for one another (Acts 2:42). In these groups we learn more about what it means to be like Jesus and we become more connected to others in the church. For a list of groups and locations, click here.

Deeper Understanding Bible Study:

Do you have unanswered questions about the Christian faith? Do you feel unready to respond to the objections that skeptical friends have about Christianity? If so, join us on Wednesdays in Room 17 at 6:30 pm. We will engage in a study that examines some of the hard questions and common objections about the Christian faith. No matter where you are in your faith journey, this study will give you a deeper understanding of the truth of Christianity. There are also discipleship classes for children and worship for youth during this time.

Spiritual Formation Groups throughout the Week

Spiritual Formation Groups meet periodically at various locations. There are groups for women and men. John Wesley, our spiritual forefather, believed that if you want to become like Jesus, you need a community of friends where you can be transparent and held accountable. In these groups we “watch over one another in love” by having honest conversation about our spiritual lives and growth.  Each Spiritual Formation Group Facilitator is provided with a set of questions that serve to help guide the conversation.  Please click here to download the questions.  If you are interested in joining a Spiritual Formation group, please contact the church office.
